PORTSMOUTH, VA – The Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum is offering two education events in the month of September. On Saturday, September 14, the Museum will host a Teacher Day in order to show teachers in the area what education programs the Museum has to offer, and on Tuesday, September 17, they will host a Preschool Day to appeal to the toddlers.

Teacher Day

Teachers and PTA members are admitted free on Teacher Day. Museum educators will be on hand to explain all education programs including the Math Academy as well as the newly released education brochure from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Grant opportunities will be discussed, and demonstrations for the education programs will be given. There will be prizes and giveaways for teachers including a free outreach program for their classroom.

Preschool Day

            On Tuesday, September 17, the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame & Museum is dedicating their time to the toddlers. Activity stations like Pre-K Yoga, balance and coordination and dance activities will be throughout the Museum to help develop preschoolers’ motor skills.
