Some chilly, fall temperatures and a bit of rain fell over the Hampton Roads area on Friday, October 16, but that did not deter women from playing in the First Annual Ladies' Day to Play Golf Tournament at Honey Bee Golf Club! In fact, 16 teams competed, nine sponsors joined us and over 40 local businesses donated items for the silent auction. We received rave reviews from many of the teams and sponsors. Many ladies said that this was the first golf tournament where they felt comfortable playing and others said, “This was such a fun way to network."  We are confident that next year’s event will be even more spectacular! 

From start to finish, the day was filled with friendly competition, laughter and networking!  Below are some of the awards/highlights:

Longest Drive – Melanie Locher, “Stinger Bees” from the Neptune Festival
Closest to the Pin – Lynell Helms, “Stinger Bees” from the Norfolk Waterside Sheraton
Winning Team – “Party of Fore” from Clark Nexsen
