Local sailors win this morning against Finland

Local sailors Anna Tunnicliffe and Debbie Capozzi took another point this morning beating Finland in the round-robin for the Elliot 6m at the Olympics.

The U.S. team, which includes Molly O'Bryan Vandemoerm of California, will sail again at 10:30 a.m. against France, according to the according to the London Olympics website.

On Monday, the team won their race against Portugal, but lost to Austrailia. The team gained a point on Sunday against Denmark.

According to the site, the Elliot 6m event begins with the round-robin with 12 crews racing each other. The winner of each race receives one point.

The top eight crews advance to the knockout stage where crews race each other. The first crew to win three points wins each series of races.
