Come One, Come All, This is Serving as The Last Call!

Come one, come all, this is serving as the last call!  One City Marathon takes place the weekend of March 13th providing runners with a stunning journey through historical downtown Newport News. The event includes four unique running races that appeal to all types of runners.

Races include:

  • One City Marathon: A 26.2 mile running tour featuring the charm of the spring season throughout Newport News.
  • Marathon Relay: Offers the option to split the difference by having a few friends to run with you!
  • Maritime 8K:  The runners will begin their journey in the downtown area of Newport News and take a tour through shipbuilding history.
  • Nautical Mile: Kids both young and old, can dash one nautical mile through the streets of Newport News.

After the race is over, the festivities will take place at Victory Landing Park in downtown Newport News. Guests will enjoy live entertainment, a fun for all age’s children’s area, a variety of local festival and restaurant-prepared foods, interactive activities, and a runner relaxation area.   • Friday Night Kick-Off at the Downing-Gross Cultural Arts Center (Free and open to the public)
    March 11 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm
  • Health & Wellness Expo at the Denbigh Community Center (Free and open to the public)
    March 11 from 12:00pm – 7:00pm) & 12 from 10:00am – 5:00pm
  • Family Fit & Fun Day at King Lincoln Park (Free and open to the public)
    March 12 from 12:00pm – 3:00pm
  • One City, One Celebration at Victory Landing Park (Free and open to the public)
    March 13 from 8:00am – 2:00pm

Registration is still currently open, but won’t be for long, so take the time to be a part of a city wide event today!
