NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Old Dominion basketball coach has added some much needed size to its roster. ODU announced that Junior College All-American Javonte Douglas and Zoran Talley have signed national letters of intent to play for the Monarchs.
Douglas averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds per game for the College of Central Florida, a junior college. He has gained internet fame with a highlight reel dunk that has more than 3 million views. Douglas is originally from Charlotte.
Talley comes to ODU from the Midwest Prep Elite Academy in Indiana where he averaged 16 points and 6 rebounds per game.
“We are extremely pleased to have Javonte and Zoran join the ODU basketball family,” Jones said in a statement released by the University.
“They are both outstanding basketball players, but just as important, they are outstanding young men. Javonte is a very athletic, skilled wing player who does a lot of different things on the court that helps his team be successful. Zoran is extremely skilled at his size and has a play-making mentality. We are looking forward to working with both young men moving forward to next season.”
