Norfolk, VA - The Hampton Roads Sports Commission (HRSC) is pleased to announce that Gibson Eppler has joined the staff as Development Manager.  In this capacity, she will be responsible for private sector memberships and event sponsorship sales. Private sector memberships will be instrumental in the HRSC's ability to create and recruit additional events such as the AAU Junior Olympic Games. Gibby will also be responsible for assisting with the growth of the HRSC Facebook page, Sports Beat Newsletter and marketing of the HRSC both regionally and nationally.

The HRSC’s Executive Director Morgan Lang said, “We are looking forward to having Gibby join our team. With her successful track record in reaching sales goals and her strong ability to speak with anyone, Gibby will be an asset to the HRSC. It's exciting to have someone on staff who is from Hampton Roads and is ready to make an immediate impact."

Eppler, a native of Hampton Roads, was born and raised in Norfolk; she graduated from The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA, earning a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Biology. While at William and Mary, Eppler was a member of the women's varsity soccer team for three years. Since then she has worked in the Washington DC metro region, earning national accolades as a sales representative.  In 2009, Eppler returned to Hampton Roads and has worked with local businesses, aiding in the tackling of the numerous challenges associated with running a company in a down economy.
