The Hampton Roads Sports Commission will be hosting the 44th Annual AAU Junior Olympic Games throughout the Hampton roads Region from July 29 - August 7, 2010. We anticipate over 15,000 of the nation's best amateur athletes to compete and over 30,000 spectators to attend. Athletes will compete in 20 sports including track and field, swimming, gymnastics, jump rope, karate, wrestling and beach volleyball. The Hampton Roads Sports Commission previously hosted the AAU Junior Olympic Games in 1998, 2001 and 2006. These events provided the Hampton Roads Region with a combined economic impact of over $107 million.
This is a great opportunity for companies to sell their brand and get high volume exposure at a regional event. The Hampton Roads Sports Commission is seeking title, presenting and supporting sponsors.
