Boo Williams Sportsplex

Boo Williams Sportsplex located in Hampton, VA is a multi-purpose venue developed by prominent athlete, coach and youth sports advocate Boo Williams. The Sportsplex is a $13.5M 135,000 square foot multi-sport facility that contains:

  • eight hard wood basketball courts
  • a 6-lane indoor track
  • 4,000 spectator seats
  • event operation center
  • trainers room

Buckroe Beach
Lapped by the gentle waters of the Chesapeake Bay, Buckroe Beach is one of Hampton's best kept secrets. This 3/4 mile beach is the perfect outdoor playground for sports enthusiasts and recreational beach bathers alike. During the summer months, the waterfront pavilion is home to free family movies and outdoor concerts. Amenities include picnic shelters with grills and tables, a playground, six beach volleyball courts with flexibility for additional as needed, a bike path, an outdoor shower, and kayak and paddle boat rentals. Four-legged friends will enjoy the beach's bark park (advance registration required).

Darling Stadium
Darling Stadium has been home to a number of state and regional athletic competitions. This state-of-the-art stadium can accommodate archery, football, field hockey, rugby, soccer, and track and field. It features seating for 8,000 spectators, outdoor fencing, outdoor lighting, two concession stands, and is readily equipped for television and radio broadcasts.

Hampton BMX
Hampton BMX, formerly the Hampton Supertrack, has been located in Gosnold's Hope Park for the past 30 years. Gosnold's Hope Park is the second largest developed park in Hampton, consisting of 105 acres. It offers eight picnic facilities complete with tables and grills, campsites and restrooms, perfect for winding down after a day of heavy competition or practice. The park also features a public boat ramp, a fitness trail, children's playground and athletic fields. And for a real sporting challenge, try keeping up with the kids while riding the BMX Hampton Supertrack at the park.

Hampton Coliseum
The Hampton Coliseum offers 84,827 unobstructed square feet with a 26,263 square foot arena floor and a 70-foot ceiling. The facility also features a first aid room, show office, catering kitchen, parent's waiting room and two multipurpose rooms. Hampton Roads Convention Center

The Hampton Roads Convention Center is located in Hampton, VA next to the Hampton Coliseum. The convention center features more than 320,000 square feet of unique space to meet or compete on. It also offers:

  • 13,000 square foot junior ballroom

Hampton University Convocation Center
Home of the Hampton University Pirates, the center features a 116-foot by 64-foot Pro King portable basketball floor with court markings for collegiate and professional play. The convocation center also has two meeting rooms and two dressing rooms complete with wall-to-wall carpeting, vanity mirrors, showers and restrooms. Seating capacity: 7,200. Hampton University's Armstrong Stadium
Home to the Hampton University Pirates football team, Armstrong Stadium has hosted the NCAA Division II National Track and Field Championships as well as numerous Division I conference competitions and championships. The stadium seats 17,000 spectators and is equipped to easily handle such outdoor sporting events as archery, football, rugby, and track and field. Amenities include dressing rooms, coaches boxes, press room, and three concession stands. Plus, a state-of-the-art electronic scoreboard and Jumbotron screen.

The Hamptons Golf Course
The Hamptons, designed by noted course architect Dr. Michael Hurdzan, has three distinctive 9-hole courses, each with its own unique qualities. "The Woods" takes you out through tree-lined fairways punctuated by well-bunkered greens. "The Lakes" is perhaps the most scenic of the three nines, and the most challenging. That beautiful lake comes into play on five of the nine holes. "The Links" nine has Scottish-style mounding, pot bunkers, and wind-swept ornamental grasses, dappled with a colorful array of flowers.
